Types of Care Services
Nuclear Medicine uses a small amount of radioactive material combined with a carrier molecule most of the times. This compound is called a radiotracer or radiopharmaceutical.
Nuclear Medicine has a valuable therapeutic application such as treatment of
Hyperthyroidism-LDT
Thyroid cancers-HDT
Blood imbalances
Bone pain for certain types of cancers
Lutetium therapies
Nuclear Medicine determines how the body is functioning at a cellular level. It is able to:
Find disease in its initial stages (bypassing/preceding anatomical-radiological imaging tools)
Target treatment to specific cells
Monitor response to treatment.
Doctor uses nuclear medicine tests to diagnosis, evaluate, and treat various diseases. These include
Cancers
Heart Diseases
Gastrointestinal Disorders
Endocrine Disorders
Neurological Disorders
